The New York Taxi Workers Alliance is always in need of highly motivated students, professionals, and activists who are willing to donate their time to help defend the rights of taxi drivers. We especially are in need of folks who can help out on a regular basis and have continuing interest in our projects and campaigns.

We have opportunities for interns to learn about the fast-paced world of grass-roots organizing, the legal framework of the taxi industry, and how worker-based organizations can push for change in both city and national political arenas. NYTWA has an ongoing relationship with Union Semester and the Occupational Health Internship Program that offer students the ability to study the history,  theories, and challenges of unions while gaining on-the-ground experience in the labor movement.

The Taxi Workers Alliance also needs the help of professionals and activists with experience in fundraising, event planning, research, data entry and phone banking.
